Crow - 1969 - Evil Woman [originally posted on 10/24/2011]

1968-72:

My drinking and riding bud had a Grain Belt Diamond tattooed on his chest. Red and gold, it was below his Adam's apple. Recently, he quit breathing.

It was at the last gathering of “Old Farts” that I heard the news. He had moved to northern Minnesota a few years ago, and as usually happens, (he was computer-less) we lost contact.

Anyhoo, back in the day, a Minnesota rock band cut an album. The band called themselves Crow. They wanted to borrow some bikes for their album cover. These people were not bikers but wanted to look “BAD',' so my bud helped them round up these Harley Choppers that graced the album. He had asked to use mine. No way, I ride my Bike to work everyday. The big reason I said no was the “Buccoo” amount of time they take to take one picture. People who do this kinda work, as far as I can tell, are usually anal fuks who ain't ever satisfied. They shoot a picture or film over and over and over.

Anyhoo, not to be anal myself, the shoot took three days, relocating twice before they found the alley. The Album was called Crow Music. Here is one of my favorite songs from Crow. Could it be that I've had some of the Evilist women ever!!! “Evil Women” Don't play your games with me!...
