Being a member of the INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD of TEAMSTERS! And being this is LABOR DAY, here is a little history, the way I see it, and I don't want to hear any back-talk!
In the early 1900s, this country was run by industrialists. They owned it all. They ran sweatshops. The mines, which were dangerous, dirty, and your life expectancy wasn't for long. Villages in Pennsylvania were completely covered in asbestos dust from the shingles they made! You worked 14 hour days, with no time off, no health care, piss poor wages. If you were disabled on the job, sinh loi, you would be fired and your ass was dragged out the door. That was it.
Along about that time, our neighbors north of us- that's right, Canadians- organized. They had the first labor day.
Anyhoo, the United States would follow suit. The AFL began by organizing workers. San Francisco iron workers who built the Golden Gate unionized. They had the strength in numbers. They demanded safe working conditions, higher wages, health care for injuries received on the job. People would be killed and injured fighting for workers rights!
Now I realize this country has been brainwashed into thinking that unions are Communist, that present day industry needs to go to Mexico and other third world countries where there are no unions. They are doing what they know best: fucking the worker. Setting up sweatshops by paying off the government in power. This, they say, so they can compete with the Japanese and Korean car companies who build their plants in the USA.
Most don't remember when Jimmy Hoffa ran the Teamsters. Anyhoo, he brought in Organized Crime, which would lead to the U.S. government taking over the IBT (International Brotherhood of Teamsters). If you were awake during the last 40 years, you saw old hypocrite Reagan, who was a union leader (President of the Screen Actors Guild). Once he figured out who was runnin' this world, he became a Repubican, got elected president, then started taking apart Unions.
Remember the air traffic controllers? He was the Supreme Hypocrite! Teamster crooks? They weren't diddly compared to the Wall Street crooks who bankrupted this country and they only put Madoff in Prison, and we the taxpayer bailed them out!!! They are giving our money to their CEOs as a BONUS instead of a prison cell!!!
Now I see where they are starting to blame veterans for this country’s dilemma!! I knew them fuckin' HYPOCRITES would fuck veterans again!!! They are soon to be done with them!!! I knew that “I Support Our Troops” thing was Bullshit Propaganda.
Anyhoo, that shit you're about to take, along with your livable wages, 8 hour 5-day work week, and annual vacation are because Workers organized Unions!
